Shelby asked me.....

Shelby asked for an update, and here it is. Right now, in Kansas City taking care of shopping needs and etc. Think I have overbought and cannot fit what I have into my suitcases. Will evaluate the purchases and make decision on returns.
Had a drink last evening with a high-school friend I hadn't seen in many years. It was nice to re-connect. I'm going to have coffee with her next week.

A Friend told me to do this

I have a lot of free time, and my friend Jenny suggested that I start a blog. Actually, I started this blog nearly a year ago, but my access to it, facebook, youtube, etc. were blocked by our computer server. But I've found a way around it, so here I am.
In Shanghai. It's raining and cold and has rained for many days. The cold is a damp, wet, bone chilling kind and I am ready for some spring. In Shanghai, the weather bureau declares when the seasons change by calculating when the temperature is above, or below a certain point for a period of 5 days. So spring, when it's declared, is determined to have actually occurred 5 days prior. Jake wondered if they with "unspring Spring" because it's been so cold.
